SEASON/SERVICE HITS GOALS

(Portland, OR 7-31-08) Some ambitious goals were set in February when more than 500 church leaders met with city officials and evangelist Luis Palau to launch a project called Season of Service. By the weekend of Portland CityFest, August 22 and 23, the planners hoped to have recruited no less than 15,000 volunteers to serve their communities through acts of service.

PALAU BOOK AT OLYMPICS

(Beijing, China August 4, 2008) A book co-written by American evangelist Luis Palau will be distributed to athletes and the media during the upcoming Olympic Games in Beijing, according to the Oregon based Luis Palau Association. "A Friendly Dialogue between An Atheist and A Christian" - a collaboration with Chinese scholar, scientist and diplomat Zhao Qizheng - was launched in 2006 at the Beijing International Book Fair and quickly became a national best-seller.
