SEASON/SERVICE HITS GOALS

(Portland, OR 7-31-08) Some ambitious goals were set in February when more than 500 church leaders met with city officials and evangelist Luis Palau to launch a project called Season of Service. By the weekend of Portland CityFest, August 22 and 23, the planners hoped to have recruited no less than 15,000 volunteers to serve their communities through acts of service.

CITYFEST COMING 8/22-23

(Portland, OR) Luis Palau Festivals, the free, family-friendly celebrations which have drawn over 7.5 million people since 1999 from south Florida to South America, are bringing Portland CityFest to Tom McCall Waterfront Park on Friday and Saturday, August 22 & 23, 2008. Activities are scheduled from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM - admission will be FREE.
